The mission of the Department of Family Ministries is to bring Jesus to the family circle through a ministry to the “and”—that is, to the relationship that connects husband and wife in marriage, parent and child in a unique parent-child bond, family and family in the community of faith and in the wider society. Through the leadership development of pastors and church leaders, and through the development of resources for family life education and enrichment, relational principles that lead to wholistic health are conveyed, with special emphasis given to preparing couples for marriage, strengthening marriage, providing parent education, and helping families to bear winsome testimony to the power of Jesus’ love.
